I am a Performing Arts Teacher and founder of  Urban Heart Theatre.  I enjoyed over 20 years performing both on stage and screen and have now found an equal passion in working with children and young adults teaching singing, acting and dancing.  I aim to make the atmosphere at the School very safe and relaxed to give each child the confidence to reach individual potential within the arts.  We perform shows throughout the year which is always a highlight for both  children, parents and teachers at the school.

Currently working as a class teacher at Norton C of E Primary School teaching Year 5 children we are very happy to announce Megs will be joining us for our Saturday Morning classes in Longlevens.  Megs has many qualifications including a Level 1 Diploma in Performance, A Level in Dance, ISTD Dance qualifications to Intermediate level in Ballet, Tap, and Modern as well as BEd in Primary Education graduating with First Degree Honours.

Theatre:   Megs was part of the Janet Marshall Dance Studios for over 15 years, performing in the Pantomime 'Cinderella' and 'Never Forget' at the Everyman Theatre. She also performed at the Royal Albert Hall at the last night of the proms and was part of the Playhouse Company for 6 years in shows such as '5,6,7,8' 'Peter pan' and 'Les Misérables'. At University she qualified with a Music Diploma through a singing scholarship which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Urban Heart Head Girl

Cuba has been a very valued member of Urban Heart since 2016.  From the first moment she walked through the doors Cuba showed such enthusiasm and potential within Performing Arts.  Cuba was the winner of the very first Urban Heart Talent show performing an XMA routine which was a definite crowd pleaser.

Aside from her performing skills, Cuba has always shown kindness to other pupils in her class and a willingness to help out.  In 2019 Cuba started to assist in our Saturday School classes and showed a very natural talent in making the children feel comfortable and at ease in lessons.  We welcome Cuba back to our Saturday School and are thrilled to have her as our 2020 Head Girl.
